This was my first foray into the production department on a feature film.

My main roles as the production assist as part of a relatively small department were to organize all incoming and outgoing freight, both national and international. Running the IT needs of the production, assisting with running in the department, including driving cast and providing support to the producers and other members of the department. This job is location shoot so I had to learn to streamline and support a mobile team.

During my time at The Gibson Group I was a production coordinator on Street Hospital for TV2 and The Trouble With Murder for PRIME.

I was the post production supervisor for Street Hospital for TV2, The Trouble with Murder for PRIME and War News for PRIME.

I was also involved in museum exhibit proposal design and assisted the development team with their design requirements.

Working under production designer Ra Vincent and Art Director Jacqui Allen, as an assistant my job extended into sourcing some prop and set dec items, working onset with Lead Standby Matt Austin, and maintaining the onscreen computer props. This was my first real onset job and I enjoyed the fast paced nature of a smaller New Zealand feature film

Working under Production Designer Dan Hennah, Art Department Manager Chris Hennah and Coordinator Karen Flett, my tasks ranged from digitizing and cataloging concept art to reference photography of images. This job was an incredible learning experience, valuable not only in how much I learned about the industry but an amazing insight into the wide range of fields that make a film what it is.
